2010 HIBT Updates

A Sixth Tag Appears

On November 5 a sixth tag surfaced, almost 1,000 nautical miles southeast of Hawaii.  This 170 lb. marlin, designated Fish 5, was caught by Bob Kurz fishing from the Ihu Nui on August 11.  Captain McGrew Rice applied the tag, which was sponsored by the JGFA Phoenix Fishing Club.  Although it did not replace Fish 2 as our current race leader, this 997 nautical mile track will be a great addition to the race!

With six tags up, that leaves us only four tags still in the water.  We still have about a month to go before the final tags are due up - so it's still anybody's race to win!
