Fishing Picks Up and the Race Begins!

After a slow start early in the week, fishing picked up on Thursday.  Early in the day the first marlin was tagged - a 200 lb. fish, caught by angler Bill Evans of the Pajaro Valley Fishing Club #1 on the vessel Topshape.  The tag was co-sponsored by the Pajaro Valley Fishing Club #1 and the Shoalhaven Game Fishing Club.  At the end of fishing, a second marlin was tagged by Jeff Metzler on board Anxious.  The marlin was caught by Fred Duerr of the Malibu Marlin Club, and the tag was sponsored by his teammate Stephen Chow, along with the Bay of Islands Swordfish Club Team #1&2.
