A Fourth Tag Reports, Takes Second Place

On Friday morning, February 3, exactly 120 days after it was deployed, the tag from Fish 3 reported from a location in the South Pacific, 2,325 nautical miles (4,306 km) from where it was originally tagged, putting it in second place. This 850-lb. marlin was caught by Chris Caron and tagged by Clayton Walters on board the Castille 111. For those keeping track, that means that Captain Dean Beech can take credit for the marlin currently in first and second place. Congratulations on a job very well done!

So with four of the five tags up, that leaves just one tag left to go - the Fish 4 tag, which was deployed October 13 on a 200 pounder caught by Parke Berolzheimer on the Allure. That tag is due up at the end of this week, so check back soon!
